Privacy Policy

PingCab is a taxi marketplace connecting riders with licensed local taxi firms in North Wales. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. PingCab is operated by Ashwrk Ltd, 14–16 Stanley Street, Holyhead, Anglesey LL65 1HG, United Kingdom ("we", "us"), the data controller. Contact: privacy@ping-cab.com.
What we collect and why

Who we share it with
- The taxi firm and driver fulfilling your ride — your name, pickup/drop-off and phone-visible details needed to complete the journey. Taxi firms are independent licensed operators and are controllers of their own business records.
- Service providers (processors): Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU — London region), Google Maps Platform (address search and routing), Twilio (SMS verification codes), Expo (push notifications). Payment card processing is handled by Stripe — riders pay the fare and connection fee by card in the app, and we never see your full card number.
- We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Location data
The rider app uses your location only while you use the app, to set your pickup point. The PingCab Pro app shares a driver's location with the passenger and their firm while they are online or on an active ride. Location access can be revoked at any time in your device settings; you can still book by typing addresses.
Cookies & analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind. The PingCab and PingCab Pro apps use only the local storage and identifiers needed to run the service (such as your sign-in session and push notification token) — no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Ride records are retained for 6 years for tax and bookkeeping. Chat messages are retained for 12 months. Driver compliance documents are retained while the driver is active with a firm, plus 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. You can delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete account); ride records are anonymised, not linked to you. For anything else, email privacy@ping-cab.com. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Children
PingCab is not for users under 16. Riders must be 18+ to book.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
